It’s staggering to think of how many lives have been saved by sprinkler systems since the first one was installed in the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane (UK) in 1812 by Sir William Congreve, who was also the architect of the building. Obviously, these systems have evolved greatly over time and become both more expanded and more reliable.
